My Russian Friend Replies

Well my friend Mr. Lazio replied and indeed he would like to discuss our partnership further. I replied you'll see it below. I can't imagine he would take me seriously, but the bait of the large trust fund and me not being smart in business may be too great to resist.

Here is the reply. The last update below has the original exchange.

Dear Lazio,

Thanks for your reply. Let me apologize for my delayed response. I hope you do not take it as a lack of interest in our business deal. I simply was away from home for a few days attending an environmental protest. Squirrel hunting season began this weekend over in Virgina and they always have a big turn out of hunters with their orange outfits and their terrible weapons, which will be turned on defenseless squirrels.

Every year a couple of friends and I head over to Virgina to protest the hunt. We carry loud horns a run through the forest with them blaring loudly to alert the squirrels of the danger, so they can safely hide away from the hunters. My friend Larry does this in the nude. He says it is protesting and a form of self-expression as well.

Anyway, upon my return home and checking e-mail, I was delighted to see your reply. I am quite excited, but would need more details from your on how the business proposal would work. I must admit that I am not all that smart when it comes to business. Now I am very smart on environmental issues and am very proud of my carbon footprint rating, which is very low. But my business wits are not that great. Luckily, I have been left a rather sizable trust fund, which allows me to pursue my environmental activist passions. I tell you all this, because I will need your help in making the right business decisions in this transfer.

I look forward to your reply.

Dear Friend,
Thanks for your response to my mail and proposal. To start with, I hope you have taken time to read the links sent to you about the predicament of my boss and his conglomerate. It is a pity, however, really toO late to do anything for him now other than protect the much i can while he spend time in jail.I must say he is a wonderful man, with a large heart, if there is anything i can do to assist his present situation, is to ensure that the funds (US$55million dollars) gets to you and well managed.

Like I said in my correspondence to you, the funds where meant to pay one of his numerous clients before the government of Puttin successfully put him away in an obvious case of power tussle. Fortunately, the funds had already left the account of the company thus when the company's account was frozen the US$55m was not in the account. The funds had been marked as paid out, receipient indeminify of any liability (receipient here will be you).
Your Role Like I explained, their is no official record indicating the name of the American benefactor of the funds, there is nobody except myself, who knows about the funds, the beneficiary, and receipient account. To this end, I have decided to send the funds to you exercising my powers over the payment to the right beneficiary which I have said is YOU All you need to do is provide only a receipient account (ie act as the beneficiary of the fund), all documentations relating to the tranfer of the funds will be amended to your name and forwarded to you. On receipt of the funds in your nominated account, I will fly down and with your business acument, help invest the funds.

No doubt I have got shares in the funds but investing for my boss awaiting his return is the most important thing to me He is such a wonderful man, so I need your assistance to invest the funds rightly, this I am sure you can assist with.
My Person I am Lazio Dobrosky 6ft 2" tall, the Personal secretary to Mikhail Khodorkovsky for over 12years, married with 3 kids 2girls & a boy, 21,18 & 11yrs old.

once again thank you very much for your email to me.

Regards
lazio
